Help for Analysts

One of the core activities of the WERS 2004 Information and Advice Service is to provide help and support for those seeking to undertake secondary analysis of the survey data. This help and support takes a number of different forms:

• Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
• Syntax to derive a range of headline variables (comprising all of those derived variables used in the First Findings booklet)
• A set of variable notes alerting users to problems or issues in the publicly-available data files
• Technical papers on complex or innovative features of the data

Users can also seek expert advice from the project team on any specific aspect of the survey or its analysis. Help is available by phone or email - Contact us
