MeetingsUser Group meetings are scheduled to take place at approximately six-monthly intervals through the life of our grant (Feb 06 - Jan 08). Meetings follow the traditional format of a one-day event comprising presentations from the WIAS team to outline developments, plus presentations from invited speakers on methods of analysis or WERS 2004 based research. Fourth meeting: The fourth User Group meeting took place on Wednesday 27th February 2008 at the University of Sheffield. The meeting was held jointly with the Work, Pensions and Labour Economics Study Group (WPEG). The programme for the meeting, along with slides from the papers presented, are available to download here. Third meeting: The third User Group meeting took place on Friday 26th October 2007 at the University of Warwick. The programme for the meeting, along with slides from the papers presented, are available to download here. Second meeting: The second User Group meeting took place on Friday 16th March 2007 at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research in London. The programme for the meeting, along with slides from each of the papers presented, are available to download. First meeting: To take advantage of the WERS theme at the ERU Annual Conference in Cardiff in September 2006, the first user group meeting was combined with that conference. The WIAS team spoke at the conference about developments and additions to the services they are providing. They also ran a lunchtime session providing an introduction to the analysis of WERS data. Almost 30 WERS-based papers were presented at the conference. |
